Baking Fixes #
- Memory use has been reduced which should result in better performance and stability.
- Automatically generated cages no longer push vertices inside the low poly mesh, resolving some issues with picatinny rails and similar shapes.
- Fixed artifacts when baking normal and ambient occlusion maps with mirrored UVs.
Texturing Fixes #
- The shape tools work again for vector layers.
- Fixed a variety of crashes related to removing or changing the settings for Material ID maps.
- Fixed a crash when changing the Tile Mode setting.
- Fixed some problems that caused various layers to render incorrectly when used in the mask stack for projects with multiple tiles.
- Input maps no longer reload on undo.
- The texture viewport preview modes no longer reset on undo.
- Reduced viewport and preview resolution modes no longer affect texture exports.
- Sync Points are now taken into consideration when exporting textures.
- Fixed a memory leak that caused poor performance with some paint layer tools.
Rendering & Material Fixes #
- High quality denoising has been added for the GPU mode.
- The secondary UV channel can now be defined for materials in the Texture panel. When using material layering, this can be defined per-layer.
- The UV selector has been removed from the Detail Normals, Emissive, and Occlusion shading models. This functionality can be replicated by using layered materials.
- It’s now possible to animate the Brightness and Contrast settings for masks in layered materials.
Misc Fixes #
- Fixed some bugs with alignment when renaming objects and materials.
- Fixed a folder permission issue on Mac that caused a crash during autosave.
- Fixed an installation failure issue that affected some Mac users.
- The windows installer should now include the correct vcredist DLLs, solving a problem where the application would fail to open.
