Studio tier licenses for Marmoset Toolbag are required for any commercial businesses purchasing the software for their team member(s), whether a multi-seat license or shared single-seat license.
Here is an overview for managing licenses for your professional team:
- Marmoset Account Portal: Toolbag licenses provide a customer-facing account portal (https://account.marmoset.co) where you can review license activity and manage license assignments. The standard license authentication is logging in directly through the Toolbag software client with your Marmoset account credentials (email and password).
- Sub Users: Toolbag’s account system allows you to add sub users to your account. Your primary account should purchase all team licenses, and you can either allow users to authenticate and share a pool of licenses by sharing your primary account’s credentials, or try assigning license seats to specific sub users, and those assigned licenses are authenticated using each sub user’s own account credentials. As admin, you have the ability to revoke a license from any sub user and reassign to another user/account.
- License Authentication / Seat Transfers: Transferring a license to another machine under the same user account is an automated process – simply log into Toolbag on the new machine with your account credentials. There is no limit per account on how many seat transfers may occur, transfers are only limited by a short cooldown period. Each time an end user runs the software it will generate a license allocation with an available license from the account used to log into the software. Each license is locked to that machine with a 30-minute cooldown period and is eligible to be reallocated to another machine once its 30-minute cooldown has lapsed. All license cooldown periods for your licenses can be monitored through the user portal.
