The Stereolithography (.stl) file format is commonly used for 3D printing. It represents a 3D model as a collection of triangles. 3D Systems initially developed the file format but it has since become an industry standard and is supported by most 3D modeling software. One advantage of the STL file format is its simplicity, which makes it easy to read and write. However, this simplicity also means that the files can be fairly large and may not accurately represent complex geometry.
STL is supported for import only.
