The Gradient tool allows you to create and customize gradients on the fly by click-dragging directly on your 3D mesh.
You can create linear, reflected, radial, diamond, and spherical gradients and adjust gradient stops and colors. Additionally, the Gradient tool can be used to create gradient masks, which can be used to add complex textures and effects to 3D models.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Intensity | Sets the strength of the gradient. |
Invert | Inverts the gradient. |
Scale | Sets the tiling for the gradient. |
Gradient Type | Set the gradient type such as Linear, Reflected, Radial, Diamond, and Knurled. |
Backface Culling | Sets the maximum angle the tool will paint on relative to the center point of the brush. |
Backface Falloff | Sets how gradually the culling function fades to the maximum value. |
Use Normal Map for Culling | Sets whether the normal map influences the culling function. When on, the surface details in the normal map will be used for culling. |
